Why is it 95% of network marketing distributors in the industry fail to make money or drop out after a year or two?
Is it because the industry is too difficult or is it because they do not know how to increase their signup rate?
Since the beginning of network marketing history, the industry has been met with skepticism and criticism - rarely does one have a neutral opinion about this industry.
Traditionally, people usually focus on getting new downlines through cold calling, inviting people to opportunity meetings at a hotel or simply place calling cards on windshields or stick advertisement on billboards (or even trees!)
These advertising methods sadly, are no longer relevant in the 21st century. They are rendered invalid by the Internet thanks to the marketing methods and the dissemination of information through authority sites like Wikipedia. With the click of a button, countless sites are laid before your eyes thanks to Google. It is no wonder traditional prospecting methods are dying a slow and inevitable death.
If you want to increase your signups, you have to brand yourself as a network marketing leader. It is pointless to beg and pester your friends and relatives to sign up and support your network marketing when it is not their 'cup of tea'.
There are a few ways to turn the tides in your favor:
- Focus on generating leads on the Internet
- Don't 'hard sell' so much, it only drives your prospects away
- Use attraction marketing principles to woo your prospects
- Learn when to say 'no' and know how to sort through your target market.
- Have fun in your business, don't take it too seriously otherwise, you will not last long in network marketing.
At the end of the day, the more effective way to increase your signups is to focus on leveraging on marketing and not selling too much.
